What is Game Center and do I need an account to use the Games app?
Game Center is Apple’s social gaming technology, which powers many of the features on the Games app that make playing more fun, connected and rewarding — like Challenges, Leaderboards and Achievements.4 Building a profile on Game Center lets you access your game’s activity and connect with friends across Apple devices. Players signed into their Game Center account when using the Games app may see notifications from Game Center related to activities and updates in their games.
